Ahungalla Beach is situated in the Southern Province in Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful beach but swimming here is not recommended as the tides are very high and powerful. You will be mesmerized by the view which will lead you to state that it is the most beautiful beach you have ever seen in your life.
Things to do in Ahungalla Beach
Ahungalla Beach is quiet silent early in the morning and it is not touristy at all. You may try going on jogging and watch all the animals, birds, waves, and fishermen in the area. It is also very clean and nice which even adds more to its glamour. But keep in mind that the waves could be rough so it is better to be careful.
Reaching the destination
From Colombo
Go on McCallum Road and turn right onto Kynsey Road. Go for 450 meters then turn right onto Athurugiriya Road. Turn right onto Southern Expressway and take the exit from the Dodangoda interchange. Turn right onto Aluthgama – Mathugama Road and then turn left onto Colombo Road after 15 km turn right to reach your destination.
From Ambalangoda
Go on Ambalangoda – Batapola Road and then turn onto Maha Vihara Road. After 90 meters turn right onto Colombo Road to reach your destination.
