Dambakola Patuna Sangamitta Temple

This is an ancient port in Sri Lanka where Sagamiththa theraniya landed while bringing the “bo” saplings used at Sri maha bodhiya. There is a temple and statue of Sangamiththa theraniya. This is situated around 20km from Jaffna town.
