Enderagala Wana Senasuna is a beautiful temple situated in Dambulla in the Matale District of Sri Lanka. This exquisite temple has a long history and dates back to the 1st to 2nd centuries.
The temple is situated in Ambepussa-Kurunegala-Trincomalee Highway in Dambulla. It is just 6km away from Dambulla city.
The stupa is established on top of a scenic rock which gives a 360-degree stunning view of the surrounding. According to some inscriptions found in the caves, the history of the temple unfolds back to the 1st to the 2nd century.
There are other views which you can see from Enderagala Wana Senasuna. You can see the Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Sigiriya Rock from this location.
Take the McCallum road then go on the Colombo-Katunayake expressway and exit from the Outer Circular. Turn right onto Colombo-Kandy road. Turn left onto Ambepussa – Trincomalee Highway and you will reach your destination after 6 km.
