Jaffna Dutch Fort

Jaffna fort is situated at the south side of the Jaffna .This is a second largest fort of the island among the existing ones. This built by the Portuguese in 1619 and re-built and expanded by the Dutch and English. This is a beautiful construction presently. It is under further excavations by the archaeological department.
