Kikiliyamana Mountain is the 6th highest mountain in Sri Lanka, standing at the height of 2,240 meters in Nuwara-Eliya of the Central Province. Shanthipura is a famous village in Sri Lanka due to its highest altitude on the entire island, and Shanthipura located on the Kikiliyamana Mountain road. A dense forest surrounds the mountain, and it is a preserved area.
How to reach the Kikiliyamana Mountain:
From Nuwara Eliya, you need to travel along the Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway up to Shanthipura village to reach the Kikiliyamana Mountain. Reaching the mountain peak is very easy as the pathway is wider and even can be reached by a three-wheeler, van or lorry.

The beauty of Shathipura village and the lifestyle of its people is the uniqueness of this mountain, which cannot be experienced through any of the other hikes. There is a beautiful Buddhist pagoda, and this temple surrounds the houses of the villagers. Plantations in this village are done uniquely on the slopes. There is also a particular viewpoint in this village to observe the beauty of the landscape from the top. Panoramic views of Pidurutalagala, Hakgala Mountain, Gregory lake, Adam’s peak and the Nuwara-Eliya town from the summit are charming.
