Old Talaimannar Lighthouse (Urumalai Lighthouse) is situated in Mannar in Sri Lanka. This is not a very famous place but it is visited by many people who visit Mannar.

Old Talaimannar Lighthouse (Urumalai Lighthouse) was built in 1915 and it has a long history. It was not maintained but after the end of the Tamil tiger war, the government took initiatives to repair the lighthouse. It is now accessible to the public and can be visited.
Go on on McCallum Road and continue onto Colombo – Katunayake Expressway. Take the Puttalam exit and merge onto Chilaw – Colombo Main Road. Then turn left onto Medawachchiya-Talaimannar Highway and turn left onto Beach Road to reach your destination.
