This is also a great place to watch fishermen stand on fishing tilts as it is an amazing sight to see. The place is surrounded by small surf shops and restaurants where both locals and tourists gather together.

Reaching the destination

From Colombo

Go on McCallum Road and turn left at Ibbanwala onto Dr. Colvin R de Silva Mawatha. Turn right onto Kynsey Road and turn left onto Dudley Senanayake Mawatha.

Turn right onto Athurugiriya Road and merge to the Southern Expressway. Exit from the Akuressa exit and turn left onto Akuressa Road. Continue onto Colombo – Galle Highway and turn right onto Beach Road in Matara to reach your destination.

From Mirissa

If you are traveling from Mirissa you have to travel 12.8 km along the Matara Road up to Matara. Then you have to turn to Beach Road to reach the Matara Beach where your destination is.
