Sea Turtle Hatchery

Sea Turtle Hatchery is situated in Habaraduwa in Sri Lanka. It is in the Matara road which leads to Habaraduwa. This place takes in wounded and disabled turtles then heals and treats them till they reach good health. These turtles are brought from areas like Pelena, Mirissa, Unawatuna, and Walliwela. Then the hatcheries release the turtles back to where they belong which is the great ocean and you will be able to see five types of stunning turtles in here such as the Green turtle, Olive ridley turtle, Leatherback turtle, Hawksbill turtle, and the Loggerhead turtle.

Reaching the destination

From Colombo

Go on McCallum Road and go on Colombo – Katunayake Expressway. Continue onto Southern Expressway and you have to take the exit from the Pinnaduwa interchange. Turn left onto Colombo- Wellawaya Road to reach your destination.

From Mirissa

Go on Udupila Road and turn right onto Colombo- Wellawaya Road to reach your destination.
