Tangalle Beach is situated in Tangalle in Sri Lanka. It was originally a small fishing village and fishing is the main livelihood of the people around this area. This is a very stunning beach indeed.
About the destination
Tangalle Beach is situated in the Southern Province in Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful white sandy beach which can be called the “Perfect Paradise”. Somehow back in the past in 2004 this place had to endure so much of damage. Initiatives were taken to rebuild the place but the process is considerably slow. The Tangalle beach is not crowded like the other beaches.
Things to do in Tangalle Beach
In Tangalle Beach you can go on dipping on the beach to enjoy the cool water and the refreshing air. The waves are a bit rough so going on swimming could be dangerous rather you can go turtle watching. For more enjoyment, you can engage yourself in volleyball or even play beach ball. This is just the place to relax and enjoy the moment.
Reaching the destination
From Colombo
Go on McCallum Road and go on Colombo – Katunayake Expressway. Continue onto Southern Expressway and you have to take the exit from the Beliatta interchange. Turn left onto Beliatta – Walasmulla Road and take the 2nd exit onto Colombo- Wellawaya Highway. Turn left onto Sea Avenues to reach your destination.
From Tangalle
Go on Colombo- Wellawaya Highway and turn left onto Circular Road. Then turn right onto Sea Avenues to reach your destination.
