Ulla Beach is situated in Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka. Ulla beach is pronounced as “ul-e” and this is not in use very much because of the Arugam Bay beach.
About the destination
Ulla Beach is situated in the Eastern Province in Sri Lanka. It is located in a town named Ulla. Ulla is the name given to the town and Arugam Bay was given to the beach. Somehow the area that people were living in was not named as Arugam Bay but rather Ulla. The sea part and the actual beach is used by local fisherman.
Things to do in Ulla Beach
Ulla Beach is a great place to relax and to get your tanning process done. You may even try going swimming in this area but be careful as to not go in too deep. Surfing is quite popular in this area so you may get your surfing board and hit the waters to get your most awaited dose of surfing experience.
Reaching the destination
From Colombo
Go on McCallum Road and turn right onto Kynsey Road. Go for 450 meters then turn right onto Athurugiriya Road. Turn right onto Southern Expressway and take the exit from the Beliatta interchange. Then you have to turn right onto Wellawaya By-Pass and turn right onto Colombo-Batticaloa Road. After the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Colombo-Batticaloa road and go on Panama Road to reach your destination.
From Arugam Bay
You have to turn left onto Manal Road and then turn left onto Panama Road. After the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Colombo-Batticaloa road and go on Panama Road to reach your destination.
