Whisky Point is situated in Arugam Bay. This is a very surfer friendly point and it offers beginner to intermediate waves. The waves in this place break perpendicular to the beach so you don’t have to swim very far but you will be able to reach them closeby.
About the destination
Whisky Point is situated in the Eastern Province in Sri Lanka. This is a surfer’s paradise and the waves here are just smooth enough for you to just side and let them pass right below you. You can walk along the beach and catch the waves to enjoy them and give your body the relaxation it has been craving so long for.
Things to do in Whisky Point
Whisky Point is a great place to surf but not a very friendly place to swim. The reason is the waves here are very powerful so you could be thrown here and there if you enjoy it-you may proceed but this could be very tiring. You have to keep in mind that this place is not somewhere for a casual dip so be careful.
