Several countries relax travel restrictions to Sri Lanka

Share

A little over a month has passed since the Easter Sunday attack and the lives of Sri Lankans are gradually returning to normal. Considering the prevailing security of the country, several countries including the UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, India, France and China have relaxed their restrictions to travel to Sri Lanka.

Earlier these countries discouraged all non-essential travelling to Sri Lanka and now advise their citizens to be cautious and vigilant about their personal safety.

Sri Lankan tourism industry faced a major setback after the attack and lost the momentum that it sustained throughout the past two years. Many resorts now offer sensational discounts to attract tourists to the country.
