This Peak is one of the main tourist attractions of the Ella town. Though it is named as “Little Adam’s Peak”, in consideration of its size, it is not small. As per the locals, it has got the name “Punchi Siri Pada” or “Punchi Adam’s Peak” due to its similarity between the Sacred Adams’s Peak. “Punchi” in Sinhalese means “Little”.
Although, this similarity is not quite apparent.
There are many entrances to ascend this hallowed place. However, the, less touristy entrance is through the 98 Acres resort marked by the white Buddha. The path to the summit is serene with a tea plantation on either side.
