Elephant Rock is situated in the Eastern Province in Sri Lanka. It is a quite popular yet very secluded and less crowded place. This is mainly because of the lack of road access. To reach this place you have to take a three-wheeler then get off at the main road and then just take a small walk to the location.

Elephant Rock offers you breathtaking views that just shouldn’t be missed to experience by your own naked eyes. You can surf here and you will also observe that there is a beautiful lagoon with dark waters which is surrounded by a strip of mangrove trees. You should keep in mind that is not advisable to swim in this place. You may also rent a surfboard from this place if you want.

From Colombo
Go on McCallum Road and turn right onto Kynsey Road. Turn right onto Athurugiriya Road. Turn right onto Southern Expressway and take the exit from the Beliatta interchange. Turn right onto Wellawaya By-Pass and turn right onto Panama Road. Then turn left to reach your destination.
From Arugam Bay
Turn left onto Manal Road and turn right onto Panama Road. Then turn left to reach your destination.
